Digital Library of
Appalachia Help - Search: browse by collection
<< return
Each collection in the Digital Library of Appalachia represents one specific
collaborator, usually a single college or university and their library or
archival holdings. You may browse all the records contributed by a single
organization, in any category with any
keywords. When restricting by collection, your results are returned in
alphabetical order by title.
There are two ways to select which collection to search.
First, on the front page of the site, a drop-down menu allows browsing by one collection only:

Highlight one specific
collection, and click on it:
|
![]() If you click Go, all the records assigned to that collection will appear. |
Second, from any results page, you may start a new search to browse a particular collection:
You should click browse to browse the first collection on the site.

The new search retrieves results from the first collection shown in the green results bar. Select other collections by clicking the drop-down menu and highlighting the collection to search:

Each time you highlight a
collection,
a new search will retrieve all records assigned to that collection.
