Digital Library of
Appalachia Help - Compound documents
<< return
Compound documents are created by placing more than one item together in a single database record, to group the items because they are similarly significant and binding to each other as physical objects. Compound documents display differently than other single records found in search results.
A compound document can appear in either image or text form:
|
These .JPG images are the front and back of a physical artifact. |
These .PDF pages are multiple pages of one physical text document. |
In each compound document, you may navigate with the menu to the left of the compound images. Click the links to page through the images or text in sequential order to see how they are related to each other. You may also click the hyperlink of a specific section to go directly to that section.
Compound documents can be added as favorites directly from the compound documents screen.
